I started making my own soaps and this was the first base I bought and used. what I like about it is the white color is great, but it does seem to have an off scent to it which may be hard to cover with out using extra scents. But it lathers well and used as a hand soap, my hands are soft and moisturized. I will be trying other soap bases, probably without the goats milk addition.

Wonderful soap...I want to buy it in bulk because it is just that good. Clears the skin and give my face and body a gorgeous golden brown glow. The dark areas on my knees and elbows are lightening so quickly, which never happened before, not even with heavy use of hydroquinione. I would recommend this soap to anyone with dark skin or who suffers from hyperpigmentatioin. It isn't a whitening soap...I love being black, so I am not trying to "lighten" my complexion. Pears soap's formula has changed as of 2009. It is no longer the wonderful, natural product we all knew and loved.
I use this in the morning to wake up to or if I want to rub some of the massage oil on tired legs and arms. It smells heavenly and is worth every penny. The soap bar fits perfectly into the pouch sent with it and works to exfoliate the skin.
Yardley English Lavender French milled soap has a true lavender fragrance and makes a very nice lather. The bar lasts quite some time and it will last even longer if it is aged for a few months prior to use (although it will lose some of the smell) so I usually unwrap it and place it in my dresser drawers and linen closet where it gives a clean, delicate scent to the items stored there.

Having tried the sensitive-skin type before, I ordered a pack of these after seeing that the sensitive-skin type was sold out, and have to say that I prefer these much more. Not only does this type have a cleaner feeling, my skin has never looked better since using this and it has pretty much eliminated the need to use a moisturizer after washing due to the dried-out appearance that you get with so many other types of soap. While the sensitive-skin bar doesnt necessarily leave you with dry skin, this type does a better job of moisturizing from my experience. On top of that, it has a very pleasant, very mild scent that is absent from the sensitive-skin bar and one bar of this seems to last quite a bit longer as well. I'd give it a 5-star if they weren't as expensive but the value is fairly good for what you get (really good-looking skin).

I love this bar, it lathers like no other. I love the lather it makes, great for shaving, nothing else I have used has come close. Works great at exfoliating without leaving a film or residue.
