This hemp rose soap from Dr. Bronner's is amazing! It has none of the harmful ingredients found in many commercial soaps, like sodium laryl sulfate, etc. It's pure and smells absolutely fabulous--not overly rose-y, more like an earthy-type rose. The scent is very natural and authentic too, not perfume-like. One thing you should be aware of is that it doesn't foam up a lot because it has no chemical foaming agents; this, however, is fine by me. I just use a little bit more, or clean up without the foam.

I like that it has natural oils in it as well so that it's not drying. I use it solely as a bath soap, but apparently all of the Dr. Bronner's Soaps can be used for everything from body care to household cleaning. I love this soap and find it gentle enough to even use on my face, yet it does clean thoroughly. I love how it makes shaving my legs easy as well, because of the oils.

It leaves little to no residue. I have read that it can be used to brush your teeth, do the dishes, and bathe your pets!

I am hooked, and plan to use Dr. Bronner's exclusively from now on as a mainstay in my home. I've been looking for a natural and versatile product like this for years.

Dove Beauty Bar, White, 14 Count (4.25 Ounce Each) (Pack of 2)

I just scrubbed myself with a bar of good ol' dependable Dove. I feel like a million dollars. Am going to get my hair cut now, so I'll probably lure a whole new set of friends with my cocky new attitude.

Amazon had photos of the Dove body wash right beside the bar soap (Beauty Bar? I hope so!), but being an old-fashioned gal I decided to stick with the tried-and-true. I love the silky feel of the soap against my skin, followed by the rough texture of the wash-cloth as it swirls it around. Ah-hhhhh ... and the smell is intoxicating--so fresh and pure. (I told you it doesn't take much to make me happy.)

But now I see a product called Caress, and am wondering if that might feel even better. hmmmmmmmmmm ... If you try it, let me know.

I have, on the advice of my OB/GYN been using Dove(white) for over 25 years!!My skin is very sensitive and dry and he recommended I should use it instead of other brands. He was not wrong! It works very well for me!

This is a great soap if you have dry skin. My only criticism is the scent is a bit feminine for my taste. A good scent, but feminine. (Hence the 4 stars instead of 5). Maybe this is somewhat unfair because i haven't tried all their flavors.

Nevertheless, for dry skin sufferers your prayers have been heard.

Dr. Woods Tea Tree Castile Soap

My gf bought this for me from a Conway store in NYC just a few weeks ago and I've used it every day for the past two weeks and it's just great!! I use in my hair and body and it does indeed leave the hair and skin noticeably soft all day long.

Normally Tea Tree doesn't have the greatest scent, but this stuff smells nice with just a hint of the tea tree and other ingredients make for a pleasant natural scent without being overpowering.

I love it and can't wait to get some more and plan on making it my number one soap. GF said that this stuff flies off the shelves whenever they get it in...I can see why.

I have a 16 oz bottle which I have happily used for body and face soap for 2-3 months. I just pulled it out from under the sink to refill my shower bottle and it's badThought this stuff lasted forever? It smells rancid and has a thick cloudy streak running through the middle.

I purchase this because I love the smell of tea tree oil and I liked the large size for refilling my under-the-counter soap dispensers. This product smells like soap (not tea tree) and is highly watered down so you need to use a lot more soap. I will not buy this product again.

I bought this because it was all natural. I don't care if it lathers (it doesn't btw); I just want something healthy on my skin that cleans my hair.

YUCK! I wear my hair short and it is not oily nor dry. After my first and only use my hair looked dirty, once it dried. It felt gross (greasy) and my scalp felt dirty. Later that day, I ended up washing my hair again with a different shampoo.

I use tea tree oil for all sorts of things I am an oiler and it is a great multi-purpose product.

I have read the other reviews and I don't know if I got a bad batch? I bought this 2/13. Anybody find a similar experience?

I am returning this soap for a refund. I had tried Mill Creek Botanicals which also left my hair feeling less than clean but nothing as bad as this. I'll try Kirk's next.

African Black Soap From Ghana 1 Lb

This is great soap. You just need to try it. Face feel great. I feel so clean. Skin has inproved.

I am absolutely completely addicted to this soap. I had horrid acne and most products would either dry and irritate or leave my skin feeling dumb oily. what I learned is the driest skin produces oil because it doesn't know how to just produce moisture so I love that the soap has shea butter in it so I am cleaning and moisturizing my skin and it has never glowed this much or been this smooth and a pound could last me at least six months so why not love it.

Kiss My Face Castile Soap Lavender Mandarin

We had been using Bronner's soaps because they are made of simple ingredients, are easy-to-find, and are low-toxicity, vegan castile soaps. The one thing that I've never been hugely impressed with in Bronner's aside from the entertainingly kooky writing is the scents. I've tried any number of them, and rose is the only one I've truly liked and no one around here sells it.

So, when Kiss My Face released their castile soap, I decided to give it a shot. And I love it. The two fragrances I like best Lavender Mandarin and Clary Sage Lemongrass are just heavenly. Since i can't choose between them, I often keep a bottle of each around. I wash my hair with this soap, use it as a body wash, add a little to a water/vinegar mix and mop the floor with it, use it for hand soap, hand-washing delicate clothing...

I've even used it to replace our Ecover Stain Treater that may be contaminated with dioxin. I was surprised to find the castile soap is working just as well on my kids' stained clothing!

It is pricey. Fortunately, a small amount goes a long way. I think, even with the multitude of things I use it for, that a single bottle will last anywhere from two weeks to a month. When I consider that I've rid myself of most household cleaners, shampoos and soaps and all the nasty chemicals that come with these products, the price isn't actually a deterrent. Add to that the pleasant smell making this an enjoyable product to use and it's 100% worth it.

If you're a fan of Bronner's but are looking for the perfect scent, give Kiss My Face a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I received Kiss My Face as a gift. I used it for washing my hands, washing clothes, cleaning the sink, and scrubbing dishes. I had a pan that had cooked on crud on it, and the dishsoap and scrub brush wasn't working. I put some Kiss My Face on it, and I couldn't believe it the grease and everything came off so easily! Highly recommended!

I bought this soap to see if I liked it better than Dr. Bronner's soap. Here's my thoughts on it:

PROS:

Natural, gentle, chemical free soap

Kiss My Face donates part of its profits to the Seeds of Peace organization, which is apparently a camp for kids to learn tolerance and understanding of others from different backgrounds.

Smells great! (Although I only smell the lavender, no mandarin)

CONS:

This soap does not lather! That's kind of a bummer.

More like a gel, and not great for shaving unless you are completely out of the water.

Bottom line: If you don't mind not getting your lather on in the shower and just want a simple, easygoing soap, this one's for you! I think I will go back to my Dr. Bronner's though.

I've looked for so long for a cleanser that I could use on my D-R-Y face. I've paid as much as $150 for a skin care line (stupid huh!), still I was not satisfied. I ran across this product while playing around on Amazon and read some of the reviews. I decided to order, I mean.....why not...I've certainly given everything else a chance. Normally I clean my face with a carrier oil but I just can't escape the wanting of some suds when I'm removing my makeup. I ordered several bars and waited anxiously with the highest hopes.... I didn't wait long, this company wasted no time getting my order out. I retrieved it from my mailbox within a couple of days and couldn't wait to try it out. I opened my package to find my order and two samples, a soap sample and a sample of essential oil...these were no skimpy samples either. I have a lot of respect for companies that send samples for two reasons....first it shows me that they have confidence in their products and secondly it shows me that they are more interested in winning customers and keeping them instead of "greedy grabbing" and continuously depending on a fresh lot of customers. Anyway...I immediately began to wash my D-R-Y face, wondering if I was making a big mistake....usually it takes quite a bit of time to get a decent amount of moisture back once I've messed up with a cleanser .... anyway, as I was washing....I was stressing....the suds from this soap were just plain silky....I was enjoying this but was afraid I would over do it so I began the splash rinse cycle. While rinsing I realized....uh....my skin was squeaking....AHHHHHHHHH...that's the scariest sound in the world for people with dry skin....it ALWAYS means dry and tight! However, after the rinse my skin felt smooth, not tight, not oily. I decided to wait 20 minutes before applying moisturizer...I was so sure it my skin would be dry....it wasn't! After the 20 minute wait my my skin was perfectly balanced. I applied a couple of drops of camellia oil and found my skin simply glowing. Next up was the shower. Again I was not disappointed, this soap produces such silky suds and a delightful aroma. My skin felt soft and clean....squeaky clean. This soap is wonderful for balancing the skin and I imagine it would work well for any skin type, furthermore I don't have to worry about chemicals that dry or irritate. This is a soft soap...I cut my in quarters so that I don't have an entire bar dissolving....
