I don't usually use any type of bar for cleaning anything. Especially my body. I don't like how soap usually makes my skin feel (all dry & caked). This bar doesn't make my skin feel dry & I don't feel like I have residue all over. It goes on creamy & rinses off clean leaving my skin feeling moisturized. I also like the little hard pieces through out it that, I think, helps release extra dead skin cells from your body.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for myself from Neiman Marcus ($15)and it's been a delight. Lovely, gentle rose fragrance packaged in a soap that lasts, that goes on smoothly and lathers well. It makes bathing a pleasure. Birthday gifted a friend with a bar of a different fragrance--Lime Basil & Mandarin Jo Malone Lime Basil & Mandarin Bath Soap 100g/3.5oz--which even her husband likes to use. Now want to try Malone's other products, but one has to search carefully for the prices vary widely across the web and some ship freely.
I love the little soapstone jar -it looks really nice on my desk at work. The perfume is okay -I don't hate it, and I find myself putting it on a few times per day. The scent doesn't last very long. It actually sort of smells like a cheap scented candle, but something about it reminds me of childhood. You know how scents can take you back to a previous time in your life? It's like that for me: first grade. Christmastime. But I don't know why. It would make a good inexpensive gift for a tween or teen.

I am a woman and I love using this soap. It smells great. It smells warm and spicy, not flowery. The soap is harder than many cheaper kinds of soap. I make my own soap which is much better than most commercial soaps, but this soap is even better than my handmade soaps. The only negative thing I can think of about this soap (the woodgrain bar) is that it will permanently stain light-colored or white washcloths. I never liked sandalwood scented products until I bought this soap, but I LOVE this one. The rest of the C-M sandalwood line is also wonderful, especially the lotion and the talc.

After your first use you'll notice a difference in your skin. It leaves your skin feelin clean , soft, smooth,and it adds a natural glow. Unlike some soaps you can use it anywhere on your body including your face. If you have eczema or just really dry skin this soap is good for you. I have eczema and used to struggle with dry itchy skin constantly. I always broke out with patches of dry skin all over until I started using this soap two years ago. There are many different Nubian soaps on Amazon. I thought that what I had ordered was unscented, but I received Lavender and Wildflowers. Due to my allergies, I will not be able to try this soap out and will have to give to a friend. If you like Lavender than you will probably like this scent, unfortunately anything with a scent causes me to get a migraine. I was hoping to be able to purchase a shea butter that was unscented... guess I will have to continue my search.
While I love the smell of this soap--and don't expect it to smell like lavender-DO NOT apply the soap bar directly to your skin. You will SORELY regret it! The natural ingredients, herbs, or whatever they put in the mix will scratch the HELL out of you. Another con about this product is that it's bar soap, so it dries your skin out and can be irritating. I'm not so sure if this is a product you want to use on eczematous skin...wish I could give this soap 1.5 stars.
I have used Bee & Flower Sandalwood soap for over 15 years. Besides the wonderful smell of sandalwood it really cleans my skin without making it dry. I swim every day and the chemical smell would stay in my skin even after taking a shower. But with Bee & Flower, it got rid of the chlorine smell completely.
