Slightly less than a year ago (late September 2009) I was getting low on Pears, but couldn't find it at my local Denver, Colorado, USA, area stores, so I bought a 12-bar carton from Amazon. Now I only have 4 bars left, and so today I bought some bars at a local Dollar Tree store. I did notice the packaging changes, but I didn't realize the extent of the disaster until I got home, compared a new box with an old, and saw the strange new ingredient list. That motivated me to open a new box, which revealed the new plastic/cellophane wrapping. I opened it and was greeted by the horrible new odor! It's quite a nasty-smelling formulation, reminiscent of some kind of insecticide or industrial cleaning product. I bet Unilever uses the wrapper to disguise the disgusting smell. I immediately returned the bars. Unfortunately, this probably means that Amazon also no longer has the old formula, unless a savvy and honest seller specifically says that they have the original product. Such a shame for a great 220-year-old brand, which Unilever has totally ruined. I've enjoyed this soap for over 20 years and can't believe the awful changes that unilever has made to it. The wonderful fragrance is gone, replaced by an antiseptic smell. The bar doesn't last nearly as long. And they've added a bunch of unnecessary ingredients. Don't waste your money on the reformulated Pears. The description of this Pears soap is deliberatley misleading, as it uses the word "original" which makes you believe it is the original 9 component formula of Pears soap. It is not....and you can buy this In dollar stores for a lot less. I was disppointed when i received the order after having checked other AmericaRx products elsewhere on Amazon which show the original formula as part of their description. That led me to belive I was buying the same product, which it is not. Do not waste time and money on buying this, which is the new formula with added chemical ingredients.The real original formula box has 2 soap bars on it and states it is Hypo-allergenic and non-comedogenic.
Zents Soap - Ore
Zents Ore Soap....the smell is just divine. The soap lasts and holds up to daily use in the shower extremely well while the scent lingers. My bathroom smells fabulous afterward. Use this with the hand/body wash and the Ore lotion and no need for cologne/perfume. Hard to describe the scent but there's something about it that everyone notices and comments on. Have other Zents soap fragrances and I was just as happy with those. Great product.

I really love this soap scent best from the Zents collection.To me this is the best most unique one. You can get florals and fruits just about anywhere but if you want something that does not smell like either of those then you will be pleasently surprised by this one!
Like I said People ask me al the time what it is because it is so different.

Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps Pure-Castile Soap, 18-in-1 Hemp Tea Tree, 32-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 2)
For crying out loud! Have you people never smelled tea tree oil before? I guarantee you, that if you used a previous tea tree oil product that *didn't* smell like "turpentine", then it had hardly any tea tree oil in it, and you got ripped off.Try this: next time you're at the health food store, go to the "essential oils" section, find a bottle of pure tea tree oil ("Desert Essence" is a good brand), and smell it. You will get the "turpentine" smell, in spades.
So why do I use it? Tea tree oil is a natural anti-bacterial, and I use it constantly to "de-germ" my hands. It rinses clean--unlike commercial anti-bacterial soaps that leave an overwhelming perfume-y smell that takes hours to dissipate--and does not create the same problems as using a commercial anti-bacterial soap does: i.e., creating a "super-bacteria" that can't be killed.
The other, "pretty" smelling Bronner's soaps will do a fine job of cleaning your skin, but if you have a need for a natural anti-bacterial--as I do--then buy Bronner's Tea Tree, dilute it about 6:1 w/water, and put it in a pump bottle. Hold your breath if you don't like the smell.
Regarding the smell, Tea Tree has a pine smell. This soap has several other oils. Here are the ingredients as listed on the label: Water, Saponified Organic Coconut and Organic Olive Oils (w/ Retained Glycerin), Organic Hemp Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Tea Tre Extract, Citric Acid, Vitamin E.I was first introduced to Dr. Bronner's Tea Tree Oil soap when I was given a small bottle for piercing aftercare. I love this stuff! Not only did it speed up heal time on my piercings, I started using it as face wash on a regular basis (it's similar to the Body Shop's tea tree oil face care system) and I love it. I also use it as shampoo occasionally and my hair and scalp feel very clean afterwards. I also use it as a body wash from time to time. I love the anti-bacterial tea tree oil. The soap needs to be diluted other reviews mention users skin got too dry, I think this is from not diluting the soap enough and it lasts a very very long time. The Tea Tree oil smell is a bit strong, but I don't mind it, and it washes off clean, so it's not like you smell like the soap all day. This is a really great product. I'm stocking up on the Tea Tree Oil one and going to try the Lavender one as well.

Smells like cinnamon, and contains small particles for exfoliating the skin. After unpackaging this Eucalyptus Lime bar of soap I was surprised it didn't smell of eucalyptus or lime at all so I examined the packaging box to see a list of ingredients. After reading the ingredients 3 times to find either eucalyptus or lime I finally realized my nose didn't deceive me nor did my eyes, neither eucalyptus or lime is anywhere in the ingredients or the bar of soap and only in the name. If this soap smells like anything I would call it ammonia and borax. If I could give a -1BS that would be my rating. Amazon should be ashamed to sell this product with a name that so badly misrepresents the actual product. This is a mislabeled $10 bar of $0.50 soap in my opinion (unless there's such a thing as $0.25 soap). However, if you like the smell of ammonia on your skin you'll be delighted with it.

Primal Elements 6.8 oz Vegetable Glycerin Soap
This looked very cute so I bought one for each of my three kids. They cost $5.98 each but I was saddened by the fact that shipping for three cost me $15.00, especially since they were INCREDIBLY small in size, and it would have been nice if the soaps were fragranced. They were SO not worth the money and when I think that I paid over $30 for these three little things I shiver. Money NOT well spent.

I love the scent, and I love that it's not full of chemicals. I also love that I can have just one dispenser at each sink for both hands and dishes.The drawbacks include:
Both times that I've ordered (several) bottles, one or two have partially opened during shipping, and there's soap all over everything.
The soap is thick, and can be a bit problematic as far as clogging up the dispenser a bit. Also, this soap doesn't cut through grease as well as other dish soaps.

I haven't purchased this item from Amazon.com, but from another distributor. This soap is very mild and has a unique scent to it....can't quite put my finger exactly on the scent, but I like it very much. Having said this, because of its' unique scent, some might find it undesirable. The cost is mid-range, but is very effective. BTW, I usually use Ivory or (strangely?) Irish Spring because many soaps bother my sinus area. Also, I occasionally will shower/bathe with white vinegar when using soap. It enhances the scent AND the acid works to combat odor AND it softens my skin: I guess the acid is a protective barrier?.

This is amazing mud soap and it is manufactured in Israel. I wanted to make sure I was using authentic dead sea mud soap so it was important to me to know who was manufacturing the product. I have been using this for two months now and I'm on my second bar. I just recently ordered two more. The dead sea mud soap is the very best thing I have every put on my skin; it's so soft and smooth. Any redness I had in my complexion has even out.Currently, I'm under going chemo for breast cancer, and one of their concerns was my skin drying out and flaking. Right after my first treatment, my skin was started to peel on my chest and face; that week I started using the mud soap and the flaking skin stopped in it's tracks.

I've been using this soap ever since a friend gave me a bar after returning from a trip to Jordan 5 years ago. I love this soap. It has a very clean rinse and I can really tell the difference between this soap and other products. I thought the other soaps were clean but other soaps leave a film, this one does not. Also it smells very good.
