This is an excellent, individually wrapped gentle soap product that I use for personal hygiene when regular soap and water is not available. I use it in conjunction with the Sterile Saline Wipes. Got the idea from a doctors office when I had to leave a urine specimen. I figured if they can use it for personal hygiene, why not me.Read Best Reviews of Castile soap towelette, ph balanced w/2% coconut oil soap, 100 per box Here

Dove Men + Care Body and Face Bar, Deep Clean, 4 Bar

The scent is manly without being overbearing. The bars have a slightly gritty texture that helps remove dead skin. It feels great on the face without leaving it dry. Leaves my skin very smooth (as advertised). I will never again look at a bottle of axe.First of all, I have to say, with absolutely no embarassment, that I am the kind of gentleman that in the 1920's was called a " dandy " and earlier this century was labeled a " metrosexual ". I manicure my hands, my feet, and I use very expensive body lotion to keep my skin freh, moist and supple. I sue the best shampoo for my hair type that I can find at the best possible price so that my hair stays soft, shiny, manageable and glistening. I sue the best toothpaste that will keep my mouth fresh and my teeth perfectly white. And on top of all of that, I am in constant need of a perfect bar of soap that will cleanse my body o the unfortunate malady that comes with being a human being: The fact that as living, breathing creatures with perspire, we give off odors, and ultimately we get DIRTY! To that effect, Dove Men's Deep Clean body bar goes a long way to doing everything it says.
First of all, the one thing I don't really like about this bar is the scent. It is citrusy, a heavy accord of lemony-grapefruit really wafts through the bar but when you are actually in the shower and you're cleaning yourself with the bar the scent is uplifting and actually smells nice. The bar gives off a rich, creamy lather that immediately starts to soften and moisturize your skin, and wih repaated uses, and I mean EVERY DAY FOR AT LEAST A MONTH, YOUR SKIN WILL BE BABY-BUTT SOFT. I bough5 an 8-pack of these bars at Wal-Mart because it is a personal policy of mine to never buy a product BLINDLY that I have never tried before at a price that I consider expensive, but when I went home and used it for the first time I was hooked and now this is my go-to, everyday cleansing bar. I tend to spend a lot of money on quality grooming products and I have spent lots and lots of money on superior bars, which have more moisturizers and indeed are better than this one but for the price ad value involved you cannot go wrong with this bar. Dove consistently manufactures quality bath products, I particuarly like their White? Pink Nutrium bars from a few years ago, and now that they're getting into Men' care thier first foray into this growing market is a good attempt which I hope will be successful for them. Apart from the heavy grapefruit smell, I give the bar 4 stars for the moisturizing properties, how your skin feels after you dry yourself off,and how clean you are and how pleasant you smell after you use this bAR. It is a good buy, go out and try it.

Dove for years has been great for producing soap that is healthy for the skin. But now that they have advanced in their products, Dove's Deep Clean Soap for Men is the best soap for your skin on the market. Just give it a try, and watch the way your skin feels after a wash. I must admit I feel comfortable in my own skin now:)Read Best Reviews of Dove Men + Care Body and Face Bar, Deep Clean, 4 Bar Here
This is a very good soap and cleanse excellent. It's really big unlike some other brands and it leaves you feeling just really clean; especially with the micro-beads.However, I have no idea what the people saying "it has a nice scent" or "it's too strong" or "it's too strong" are talking about. It has NO scent whatsoever if you take a big whiff, you might get a little something but overall there's no scent.Want Dove Men + Care Body and Face Bar, Deep Clean, 4 Bar Discount?

I have struggled with hormonal/cystic for many years, going through short phases of having 'mostly' clear skin and then phases of the deep/cystic acne and hormonal acne along my jaw line/chin. This has literally cleared it all up. I haven't had ONE of those horrible, deep painful zits in three months. I do get the occasional whitehead, but that's usually from a new makeup product I haven't tested before. But my skin looks better overall, I go out without makeup WAY more often and my skin just feels better.
Now for the bar itself: solid white bar, slight herbal/medicinal smell, lathers very well, bar will last at least six months (note: I usually only wash my face once a day, at night, after I've removed any makeup). Very rarely do I follow this with a toner, as it does leave my skin feeling a bit tight (I also live in a VERY dry climate), but when I do, I just use witch hazel. My moisturizer is a mostly an even mixture of Embryolisse Creme Concentre and Neutrogena's Deep Wrinkle Repair Night (with retinol). I use more or less of either of those depending on how my skin is feeling (dry vs. any problem areas).
I will continue to by this bar for the rest of my life (or hoard it if they ever stop making it) or unless I wake up one day and it suddenly stops working. If you have issues with acne, breakouts, etc, please give this stuff a try. It's a lot cheaper than most of the acne "treatments" you can buy.Creamy, frothy, smooth, and tightening is this little wonder bar. It's difficult to find in stores in my area, so was delighted to see it on Amazon. After use, it gives a taught, firm feeling to skin; definitely not oily, but not too dry. There is no odor and something about it makes it feel cleaner than other bars. There's no filmy residue left on face and neck. A must in any bathroom.

This is a great cleanser with amazing ingredients. It also lasts a REALLy long time. You only need to rub it into your hands once or twice and you will get a enough foam to clean your whole face.Read Best Reviews of Dermalogica Clean Bar (select option/size) Here
I found this bar looking for an alternative to men's shaving soaps that are scented. As the clerk at the store told me it's not really "soap" because it doesn't dry the skin. I was skeptical of it but she assured me this product produced significant lather. I don't like traditional shaving creams that seeminly "coat" the skin and I tend to get a lot of ingrown hairs, irritation and zits and I am in my mid 40's. I keep the bar in the travel case and use a badger hair brush to apply the Clean Bar lather to my face and shave as normal. I get a close shave without the irritation and other issues that were associated with modern shaving creams. The greatest advantage is how long it lasts. I still have the bar I bought nearly two years ago. So while the inital investment is about five times that of a can of shave cream it will probably last longer than five cans of cream plus there is no can to throw away and fill up the landfills, etc. I tried this soap on a fluke. I decided to try it because I like to wash my face with something that gets foamy. At first, I thought it dried my skin. But after a few days, that dry feeling went away and I found that my moisturizer actually absorbed more thoroughly after washing with this. However, the most amazing thing about this product was how it eliminated pores on my face. It really was quite amazing. My skin looked so smooth. I have reasonably good skin anyway, but this product really took it to another level. I have used their Special Cleansing Gel for years, but I like this better. Smoother skin, and the soap rinses off very easily, unlike my experience with the Special Cleansing Gel which takes a lot of rinsing and leaves some residue. I have sensitive, mildly dry skin and for this skin type, I highly recommend this product.Thymes Bar Soap, Olive Leaf, 7-Ounce Bar

He is 87 and very set in his ways, so it's hard to buy for him.
I figured if he didn't like it , I would use it myself.
Well, he really liked it and he was worried that I paid too much for it.
The price (which is only slightly high) was worth the satisfaction of getting him something he actually liked.

I would recommend this for women who love to take long baths! NaturOli Soap Nuts / Soap Berries. - ONE POUND - "Select" seedless USDA Organic! - Fresh 2013 Wild

I have been using these for 7 months and have been very happy with them. I am so glad to buy a laundry-cleaning product that does not come in a plastic jug, that does not leave a soap residue on my clothing or in my washer, and that cleans our clothes efficiently!
My fiancee, who has a very labor-intensive, sweaty, chemical-laden job, reports that even his work clothes come out of the washer smelling like nothing. Which is a huge improvement over the stinky pile of clothes he tosses in there! He likes that there is no scent on the clothes after they come out of the washer (no stench, no chemicals, no flowers, no perfume, just "clean").
The little bag is very durable and stays closed in the wash (we tie the drawstring in a knot for security). They also successfully run through the dryer. We have a front loading maytag commercial quality washer and a standard maytag gas dryer.
I purchased the 2 lb. bag, and I'm excited to finish it, so I can find a new use for the bag, as well. Reusable produce bag...travel lingerie bag... toiletries bag...etc.
I put "samples" of soap nuts from my big bag, into the little bags, and give to loved ones (I usually stuff the bag for them and tell them to store them in a ziploc bag or glass jar and only use about 5 or so nuts per "use", which equals about 5 loads. This way, they can get quite a few trials of them and have some on hand while waiting for their own shipment to arrive!). They sell a three-pack of the bags on amazon.
TIP 1: we keep a make-shift dry-erase board & marker on the wall by our washing machine to tally the washings with those IIII-slash line markings, using two lines for especially heavy or dirty loads. Once the nuts in the sack are washer-spent, we erase the markings on the board, dump the nuts into a big jug (for later boiling) and refill the sack. This is much easier than trying to remember/calculate how many uses the nuts had or have left (especially when two people use the same sack at different times).
The next three tips aren't about the direct use of this specific product, but since they are eco-laundry related, and about my general use of the product, I thought I'd add them:
TIP 2: Since these nuts don't attack stains, I also purchased (from Amazon) a spray bottle of BioKleen BacOut, which I keep in my laundry room for stains and problem spots. (I keep also one on each floor, for carpet spots.) Works better than other natural stain removers I have tried.
TIP 3: I don't use fabric softener, but I do put a few drops of essential oil in the fabric softener dispenser. I like how it makes my clothes smell and I think it helps repel mosquitoes as I haven't gotten bitten since I began doing this. I used to get bit very often, and others are getting bitten more then I am now.
TIP 4: In the dryer, I use organic wool dryer balls (bought on Amazon), with some drops of pure essential oil (usually lavender or peppermint). I put the drops on the balls and then toss them in for a brief Air Fluff (no heat) to dry the oil before I put my clothes in the dryer. No icky chemical (or expensive natural) separate fabric softener needed!
Disclosure: : This review is from: NaturOli Soap Nuts / Soap Berries. 2 lbs. (320+ loads). These nuts are the same product, in a different quantity.
I rely on reviews here at Amazon to help me make informed buying choices. I hope this review has helped you in the same manner. If you voted this as helpful, I Thank You! :)I last ordered this exact product 365 days ago. So this bag lasted my family (we have a very messy toddler) 1 year +; I have 5 nuts left. How's that for inexpensive? I'm allergic to coconut and I've yet to find a laundry detergent without coconut derivatives in it. Soap nuts keep me from having itchy, dry skin.
A couple of tips: I bought the extra 3 bags, so that I don't have to go searching for the one that accidently got placed in the dryer. For really dirty clothes, I sometimes use a second bag as a booster. When washing with cold water, I let the clothes and soap nuts sit in the water for at least an hour before I run the washer. For stains I use either Vaska peroxide bleach or Orange oil spray. If I want a little bit of smell, I add lavender oil and water to the fabric softener cup.
It feels so awesome to use such a basic product on my toddlers clothes -no lavender oil for him.
Update on 17 FEB 13:
I bought the 5 pounds of pieces last year and they lasted me about 14 months. I'm back buying the 4 lb. whole nuts, because I think the whole nuts go further than the pieces. I'm buying the extra three bags again, as they wear out after a year of hard use. I've started adding about 1/3 of a cup of baking soda to my wash to counter our hard water and that seems to have streamlined the whole process. I'm still adding lavender oil in water to the fabric softener cup. And I've found that a half hour is sufficient for soaking the clothes and nuts. Oh, and we have two kids now, and we don't use bibs. I've also used it successfully on cloth diapers. This is a great product!I ordered the soap nuts and received my order within a few days. Included was a free sample for some of their face cream that I wasn't expecting too.
This is my first experience with soap nuts, NaturOli are the only brand I've tried. I've done several loads of wash so far and the nuts still look like they can handle a few more.
The clothes really do come out of the dryer feeling soft without using any dryer sheets or fabric softener! Only down side is with it being winter here and the heater running all the time I have a SMALL static problem...not sure how to deal with that.
I would recommend these and I will be buying them again.I was skeptical but hopeful when I bought the Soap Nuts. I was thrilled to continue my journey into toxic free cleaning. However, my hopes sank when I washed my husband's first load of work clothes. (He is in construction) The smell remained along with the dirt. I tried soaking the nuts in warm/hot water for 20 minutes as suggested. Poured the water and the nuts in the washer and even added borax as recommended. Still the same results with his clothes and my 3 boys' clothes. The sweat smell never seemed to really leave. I used lavender essential oils in the dryer which helped but felt it was only a cover up. I am sorely disappointed with the results and am not one to leave negative comments, but I couldn't let this go. My whites are dingy and regular stains remain even with using vinegar and other natural brighteners. Thus, I must try another "green" laundry cleaner.Originally, I was searching the internet for a recipe to make homemade laundry soap. I stumbled upon a blog that raved about these. The author even gave tips on how to get the most out of these, which I will share in a moment. I love how my clothes smell like ... well, nothing! It's great. I love how my clothes are coming out clean WITHOUT the use of toxic synthetic chemicals. I appreciate the "green" factor of this product. I have washed several loads...even super dingy ones, and expect that the odors will still be there or that my clothes won't be clean. I am grateful to have been proven wrong.
now to the tips (same person on the blog also left a review here):
1. keep a tally sheet by the washer to keep track of how many uses the nuts get out of each bag. (I use 4 nuts per "tea bag" and have used for 5+ loads)
2. Use Bac-Out to pre-treat serious stains. 1 part Bac-out to 2 parts water.
3. I use wool dryer balls with a couple drops of lavender oil... I have learned that the oil is almost pointless and could become costly.
Note: I have small children, which means that I have stinky pee clothes and pants with dirty dirty knees, yucky homemade wipes... In the past I have had to use baking soda to eliminate the odor and some kind of non-green, toxic chemical to get out the tough stains. The above regimen works. I love the soap nuts!

This soap is made very well. It is triple milled and so soft. It lasts a long time and creates a very rich lather, not to mention all the wonderful scents available.
We also use it for hand soap and the hands just love it, keeping them smooth and supple, wrapped in shea butter. All your skin can benefit from the daily use of the shea butter blended in this soap.
I would encourage you to treat yourself to the simple pleasure of some wonderful soap!I was surprised by how rich and creamy the lather is, even for a hard milled soap. It feels luxurious going on, then rinses off well. The scent is a very light citrus blend, I would say close to grapefruit with a hint of tangerine. Very nice, but it's barely noticeable in the shower and disappears at rinsing.FIRST TIME REVIEWER. I purchased this as a gift, and the bar arrived smashed. Now I am only being offered a chance to RETURN it, rather than have a replacement order. If I want to order again, I will have to pay shipping as it will not longer be part of an order over $25. Small items like this should not be packed unprotected with large items. I guess I will EAT THE COST as it will cost as much to ship a new bar as I paid for it. I think this is more an AMAZON fulfillment issue that a problem with the soap. I am certain the soap chips will be fine to use.

Product was okay.Smell wasn't as strong as the after shave. It just didn't seem that special. The texture wasn't that appealing either.I really like Dominica Bay Rum Lime aftershave, but wasn't too impressed with this product. Smells like burnt licorice and rubber, with a dash of clove. Lathers well, and leaves skin feeling pretty good. It's a cold poured soap (not milled), so it won't last very long... Maybe about two weeks of use by one person. Unfortunately, I probably won't buy it again. There are many better soaps at this price.
