Lambic Spice Beer Soap - Made With Sam Adams Cranberry Lambic
I picked a few of these soaps up as a gift for a friend and decided to keep this one for myself. The fragrance is very warm and spicy, vaguely reminiscent of Sam Adams Cranberry Lambic. The aroma has an undertone of soap smell to it, so the beer spices are subtler than I would have expected. Essentially, unless you knew what this soap was, you'd never suspect that it was made from beer.As a soap, the bar is bigger than I would have expected -think hockey puck sized. It doesn't fit my standard bar soap dish, but at least I'm getting my value out of it! The fragrance is warm and pleasant and sticks with your hands, though it doesn't leave a filmy residue either. Lathering doesn't produce much in the way of suds, but it gets the job done as far as cutting dirt and oil.
My only quibble is that the "Beer Soap Company" logo is printed on using a dark ink which causes your hands and sink to stain dark for the first few uses as it washes off the bar. It will rinse right off your hands and basin, but it looks unsightly at first. The logo will fade away after several uses, which solves the ink issue but then leaves you with a generic looking bar. Even with the logo, there's nothing to tell a guest, "This soap was made using Sam Adams Cranberry Lambic." And people look at you strangely when you try to follow them into the bathroom to explain the coolness of your hand soap...
If you are or someone you know is a beer enthusiast and would be tickled washing hands with beer soap, definitely try this out!

PURE FIJI Spa Soap - Coconut Infusion 3.5oz
This soap is awesome. What I like about it is that it doesn't have a sweet scent to it. In fact, you really have to sniff it to smell it. It leaves your hands feeling super clean and hydrated, as if you just put on a light lotion (but without the feeling of having something "on" your hands). What I do not like about this soap is that it leaves a reddish-brown film after you use it. I had to buy a special soap holder (one that has little "pillars" to hold the soap up so that it doesn't touch the surface) so it wouldn't make a mess. I really like this soap, though. It's winter, and I like anything that will keep my hands smooth and soft without having to use lotion!

I love everything Pure Fiji makes and this soap is no exception. While it melts fairly quickly in my bath water, it smooths and softens very noticably. It has a very faint coconut scent. I was extremely impressed the first time I used it with how much it softened my skin and silkened it on contact. When this soap is wet it feels soft on the surface. I am willing to pay a premium to use this exquisite soap from Fiji. The nut oils from the south Pacific are the best thing I've ever used on my skin. This is the only soap I want to use. I think it replenishes the essential fatty acids of the skin with it's nut oils and coconut oil. I'm a feen when it comes to good soap and so it my mom. I baught this for her for her B-day becuase I love it so much. The thing is we don't like the same smells. Dalan Shea Butter Cream Soap 3.2 oz - Case Pack 24 SKU-PAS823003
Well, I tried this shea butter soap by Dalan and I'm glad it's "satisfaction guaranteed" because while I do get a good sense of being clean after taking a shower, the soap just doesn't smell all that great! I thought that maybe (especially as a guy) I simply don't know what shea butter cream soap is supposed to smell like but I can't imagine too many people liking the scent of this soap. True, the scent is not overpowering; but it's just not that pleasing, either.Thus, while this soap gets me clean in the shower, I'm not so sure I can recommend this soap because the scent may not be to your liking, either!
In addition, as of the time I am writing this you may be able to find this soap cheaper in a brick and mortar store. Try shopping around for this soap if you can. I suppose the higher cost of this soap here is for the convenience of having it delivered directly to your doorstep.
Unfortunately I don't think too highly of the scent. Nevertheless, if you like shea butter cream soaps, give this a try and maybe you'll like it more than I did!
3 bars of Vinolia Luxury Cold Cream Soap
First, thank you Carbolic Soap Co you shipped extremely fast and I am very pleased with your service and this review is in no way a reflection on you as you are not the manufacturer of the soap.First off this product is not even a shadow of it's former self. It's been entirely reformulated to the politically correct junk grade veggie oil base that every other wimp manufacturer has turned their once fine soaps into. The scent is not the original scent either though it's reminiscent enough to approximate what it was. It's HEAVY on citronella instead of the truer citrus scent that went with the otto rose base. Also the scent is not as prominent as the original. Gone are the cold cream properties. Gone is the boric acid in the original.
No passenger on the Titanic used anything like this, they used the finest grade A soap made from the finest tallow (animal fat) and coconut oil. That's what grade A soap is made out of and it's the finest and mildest form of soap known to man. It doesn't irritate the skin like this present excuse for Vinolia does. Vinolia is now just a glob of saponified Crisco with some mosquito repellent thrown in after a sneeze of synthetic rose oil.
Stay away from it.

My mother grew up in Trepassy Newfoundland and used this soap. It has a clean smell, rinses cleanly and lasts forever!
