This is a good soap for cleaning and some moisturizing, but the scented qualities are overrated. After the first use, I could barely smell it at all, even when held up to my nose. Perhaps this was an old bar that had been sitting around at Amazon for some time? The rose scent is not very strong just enough to be able to slightly smell it. I think non-rose lovers would like this soap.

One With Nature Dead Sea Mineral Rose Petal Soap is my most favorite of all soaps! And I have tried them all. The fragrance is a soft light rose . I would not love it for that reason alone, however. I am comforted to know that it does not contain harmful ingredients. It's lather is soft and fragrant. I first discovered it at the Fairway market on the Upper West Side in Manhattan and when I moved away I located it thankfully on amazon. The fragrance last a very long time and the soap is very smooth. It doesn't dry my skin (thanks to the Shea Butter) like other soaps. I love anything french...so I had to try this soap and once I used it I realized "why" I love everything french......It made the box it came in smell nice...the UPS guy must loved it in his truck..
Like other reviews say it, it does smell wonderfully and it makes my hands feel very soft. It is soothing (I got it at the end of a friday, trust me it did effect me in a nice way after a long week) I now have the liquid soap and the bar soap. They also looked nice enough to leave them in the powder room for guests.

Yardley Yardley London Naturally Moisturizing Bar Soap
It may sound funny to get this kind of review from a sixty year old retired firefighter. I used to buy Yardley in the grocery stores in the early seventies. It is French milled which makes it last longer and I find the scent very relaxing. It was shipped to me in just a few days and I think it is a good value compared to soaps you get at the store even considering the cost of shipping.
Not only is this a good quality soap, it is readily available and is much less expensive than soap of similar quality imported from Europe. The English Rose and and especially the Lemon Verbena scents are also quite nice but the lavender remains my favorite. If you have stuck with Ivory and have never used a French milled soap, give this a try. Highly recommended.

Over 5 years ago Yardley of London English Lavender changed their soap and toilet water formulas. I had to stop using the toilet water because it made me break out, and the soap didn't smell the same and was no longer an olive green but cream color. This soap is still the reformulated cream, but the scent is stronger and it's labeled Yardley of London English Lavender, not Yardley Lavender. I have no idea what the difference is, but this is far superior to the latter. When my daughter was born she was born with a head full of hair. At 5 months she had bad cradle cap and it was hard to take care of it because of how much hair she had. This new design of bar soap with the massage bumps is very soothing. The cucumber scent is nice refreshing yet soothing. It is a great scent for spring/summer. I pair it with the matching lotion, and I don't feel it is too strong, although that is a personal preference. To me it is just a fresh clean scent. I really liked this soap. Yes, it does smell really nasty (not noticeable on your face, but basically everywhere else). It lathers very nicely (a little goes a long way). The bar is green with 'Kiss My Face' right in the middle. I used this on my face and follow it up with a prescription lotion.I am extremely impressed with what it has done to my acne almost unnoticeable now! HOWEVER, I can't let myself buy this again (at least not without first buying a heavier moisturizer) because it dries my skin. My skin is combination anyway, but this has OLIVE OIL. It shouldn't be drying my skin out. I guess I'm just torn.

I have used most of the Kiss My Face bar soaps, but the one with honey in it clearly reduced the pore size on my skin. It is an excellent face soap with no sickening fragrances to give me headache.
