Olivella Face and Body Bar -- 5.29 oz

I have been using this soap for about 2 months now. It is great for all parts of the body, including the face. I am 47 years old and have had acne problems at my age! It has actually helped. When you apply moisturizer after bathing, it really soaks in and leaves your skin so soft. It also doesn't dissapate real fast like other soaps and lasts a long time. The larage bars I have are only half used and I use it every day.

This soap is great!! I have had very dry skin for yrs. but not after using this soap for the past seven mo. It lathers well, smells fresh, gets ur skin super clean n rinses off completely...no residue. Yay!! It moisturizes very well, but doesn't overdo it.

It lasts a long time if put in a place where it can drain...doesn't crack once dry. Definitely worth every penny.

I started using olive oil soap bars a year ago and now I can't live without them. It's really made the skin on my face much softer, especially when used with a moisturizer right after. This brand is a very nice soap and I like it more than the Kiss My Face bars.

It has a very fragrant lavender scent even though there's no mention of any type of fragrance on the webpage or the container it comes in. I like lavender so that's a plus.

It's wonderful to use for shaving. I don't bother using shaving cream or gel anymore. After shaving I apply aftershave/moisturizer and my face becomes like a baby's behind. Seriously, I'll be touching my face all day marveling at how soft it is.

One major negative thing I've noticed about olive oil bars is that they seem to run out of olive oil before they're completely used up. You'll notice this when the bar becomes very easy to lather and is not as greasy. Normally, when you have a new full-sized bar it's a little hard to lather up and feels very oily. Then when there's about 15-20% of the bar left, the greasyness is gone and it soaps up almost immediately. You can tell it doesn't moisturize as well then. I just use it for washing my hands at that point.

Also, make sure to not leave the bar sitting in any water because it will cause the bar to "melt" and get very messy and lose it's shape.

Another bad thing is that olive oil bars are usually more expensive than regular bars. So not only do the moisturizing benefits run out before the bar is totally used up but you have to pay more for it.

Still, your face and skin need all the help they can get while you get older. I think it's worth it for the extra money and you'll definitely notice the difference. Thumbs up for this product!

I bought this for my husband who has dry, scaly skin. I had him use it for a while and I think it's made a difference for him. He used to be really dry and skin flakes would shed off, but now I can tell that his skin looks more moisturized throughout the day. Good product.

I've never been able to decipher what ingredient it is in some soaps that gives me a strange 'surface rash' on my skin ('surface' being that there are raised bumps that scab over but they don't itch and they're not red. Not painful, but not pretty). But, turns out that this soap does this to me. It also has a VERY strong medicinal smell which is a bit too strong for what I'd prefer in a soap and probably part of what causes me to break out. So, QUALIFIER: This soap does not work for me due to my sensitive skin, but may be great for others who do not have this challenge.

Miracle II Regular Soap 22 Oz (Miracle 2)

More than a year ago my alternative health practitioner recommended I buy this product and mix three drops of it in a glass of water twice daily for a health challenge I was having. I don't know if drinking it had any effect at all honestly. But I got curious about the product and found out that it was created by a man who had a healing of some sort while watching one of those Bible-thumping TV evangelical shows. Then God showed him the formula for this soap one night by projecting it onto this bedroom wall. His wife couldn't see it and I think she got him a pencil and paper and he wrote it down, began making it and giving it away. Soon people told him of all kinds of physical miracles that were happening from using this soap.

I am not a churchgoer and stay away from Industrialized Religion completely. God knows I would never watch Pat Robertson and his ilk nor give money to a ministry. Yet I am open-minded enough to consider the possibility that this man had a genuine non-dual spiritual experience and translated it the only way he could. So I began to bathe with it.

Never would have I considered using the same soap I use on my body on my face as I have always had sensitive skin and acne. Now, not only do I wash my body AND face with this soap but I shave with it as well. My skin looks better than ever now. Later I bought some Miracle II Neutralizer, mixed it with this soap and began to soak in it. I have sensitive spots on my forearms that sunburn easily. Very soon after beginning to soak in this soap my forearms broke out for a few weeks oozing pus. Sound nasty doesn't it? Maybe even enough to make you not want to use it. But I understood the breakout to be a detox actiion and the breakout soon healed. This soap does have strong detox properties. Another poster mentioned body odors when using this soap. That is the detox properties in action I imagine.

People claim all kind of crazy benefits from using this soap. I can only attest that it repels mosquitos completely when used without dilution and applied as a gel. I don't like to wash my hair with it b/c it seems my hair just simply isn't that clean after rinsing. Possibly there is a residue left in the hair. I mix it with water, put it in a spray bottle and use it to do all sorts of cleaning around the house.

Do I like this stuff? You betcha! I will be buying another gallon jug of it soon.

Still am using this soap and still am pleased. I even wash my hair with it 2-3 times a week now which saves me money on the expensive non-toxic shampoo I buy at Whole Foods I have mixed baking soda with my shampoo for some time now to get the styling product out of my hair and found that when I do so with this soap it rinses as clean as shampoo but this soap is rather drying on my hair to wash with it everyday. Did I mention I shave with it as well? So when I travel I carry one small vial of Miraclw II soap with me for bathing, shampooing and shaving. Makes life simple. This soap may not do everything under the sun but it comes pretty darn close.

UPDATE 4.18.12

Add a drop of this soap to a dab of baking soda and you have a decent toothpaste. Always wanted to use baking soda as toothpaste but never really did because it irritated my lips but with Miracle Soap it doesn't.

Also, I don't see soap scum in the shower I use, while in my wife's (who doesn't use this soap) shower the scum is quite thick.

Miracle Soap 11 is an excellent product. Its a natural product that is biodegradeable and cleans beautifully everything from your skin and hair to your clothes, kitchen counter and floors etc. I have used it for all the above and then some however I like to use this product as a replacement for regular bar soap for showering, a hand soap and shampoo. It is a concentrated product yet very gentle even when used at full strength. Its refreshing, clean and smells as good as it looks and leaves no residue. Bottom line for me is that this product says what it does and does what it says. I give it a thumbs up! Give it a try!

This "Soap" literally does everything. It's almost like one of those 'too good to be true' TV ads. I brush my teeth with it (1 drop -even 2 drops is too much), and my teeth feel remarkable. I use it as shampoo, and my dandruff and dry scalp was almost immediately resolved. I bathe with it, and I almost feel euphoric. I don't know why -the company claims that it's opening up the pores for detoxification or something like that. Whatever the case may be, it works. I've used Miracle II products for years and love it. I've used it for washing just about anything including dishes, clothes, dog, deck, myself, auto oil drips, etc etc etc. This stuff really can be used across the board and have no toxic effect. However, the reason I gave it 3 stars is the price! The price here is nearly double what you can buy it elsewhere. I am an avid amazon fan, but not when the prices far exceed those found elsewhere.

I bought this product a couple of months ago, and decided to write a review!! I have a skin condition that I've had since I was nine years old called Keratosis Pilaris. Nothing worked. I even went to a dermatologist to get expensive chemical peels and lotions. It's only been a couple of months since I've had this Miracle II product, but while using this soap, my skin condition is maybe half of what it was. Of course nothing works over night, but I'm very impressed with what it's done so far. I also use this on my face, and my skin glows. I didn't have too much trouble with acne on my face, but people can still notice a difference on my face when they didn't know I switched to this soap. I also mop with this, wash my dog with this, hand wash delicates with this... It's amazing! It smells like Dawn liquid soap, but it certainly is NOT Dawn soap. I put about a squirt of the miracle soap and the rest with water in a large sprayer bottle to clean mirrors, kill ants, wash my windows. I even clean the floors with this soap! I use this for everyting, and my house looks very clean and smells nice, and I still have half of it left, since it's so ooncentrated! I just bought the neutralizer and lotion, too! I love them all! My boss complimented me yesterday saying how my skin glows now. This is amazing!! I no longer have blackheads, and my pores have shrunk on my face so much. I also use a clean rag each dayonce or twice a day in the shower, and lightly massage and exfoliate my skin with this soap. It's really a miracle to have this product. I was a little leery at first, because the founder claims God showed him how to create this product. I am a Christian myself, but didn't want to catch myself in some scheme. After reading the reviews and trying it out for myself, though, I believe his testimony and I am grateful and thankful I ended up buying the products!! Bvlgari's white tea fragrances are unisex but has the cleanest scent. As a female, I find it as a perfectly acceptable scent for women. My friends also love it. Tone Skin Care Bars of soap with Cocoa Butter and Botanicals (including aloe and papaya) does moisturize your skin while cleansing it as a type of soap with water. The bars are easy to hold onto in the shower; and the moisturizing additives (including the cocoa butter) make a big difference between this and regular soap.

Tone may call these "skin care bars;" but rest assured you will find them in the soap aisle of your supermarket. Tone advertises them as "skin care bars" to try to set them apart from the other soaps; but this still remains a type of soap.

Unfortunately, these bars of soap have a slight smell that I don't care for. I can't quite describe it in words; but I assume other people must like the scent for Tone to keep on selling. However, if you're allergic to perfumes and scents, this would not be the soap for you.

All in all, this is good soap for persons who want a soap that helps you moisturize your skin when you're in the shower or bathtub. I personally don't care for the smell although others may like it.

Initially, I was in search of a more "pure" bar soap or one that didn't irritate/dry out my skin. After prowling the aisle, I came to this brand that I haven't tried. I was a little hesitant being that I am NOT a fan of Dial bar soap. Anyways, I trust cocoa butter because it has been around for years, so anything with a little cocoa butter couldn't be all bad. Plus it was cheap. The soap was fine and didn't smell half bad, but what I loved about the soap was how it helped lighten my chest scars. I had developed some hyperpigmented spots after an unusual sudden outbreak on my chest and back due to hormone imbalance. Being an African american woman with bumps on her chest was embarrassing enough, because scars are more noticeable. After using this soap for a week, the scars had lightened! I honestly thought I was just FINALLY getting better and had completely forgotten I had began using a new soap, because bathing is so routine. Then I put 2 and 2 to together. The scars went from a dark ashy gray to a lighter brown(most likely due to the cocoa butter properties). I wasn't expecting the soap to work in that way or that quickly, because I've used straight cocoa butter on scars and scrapes before and I saw no change. I'm going to continue to use this soap and hopefully see some more improvement. Maybe I'll use it in combination with a cocoa butter stick too. Couldn't hurt.

I love a good bar of soap in the shower. Grandpa's Patchouli soap delivers on one level and disappoints on another. For lather and scent, it gets five stars. Unfortunately one round of use demonstrates how far one bar will go, and that's not very far. Made up mostly of coconut and palm oil, with aloe vera gel almost at the bottom of the list (beat out only by essence of patchouli), even short showers and conservative use will eat it up pretty quickly. Great soap as far as it goes, but I'd prefer a bigger bar or, more to the point, a recipe that doesn't dissolve quite so easily.

I love Grandpa's Patchouli soap. I bought a year supply! The others are good too, but I like the smell of this one the best.

200g 10% Sulfur Soap

Ok so this soap has what it takes to make a difference in your skin; you will be convinced next days following. And with 20g of sulfur in this particular bar of soap, the yellow color can only be expected. There is plenty of it in there that it is as gritty as baking soda, so yes... it does exfoliate the skin as you rub it all over. Using it daily will kill (so far) and put to rest all types of skin problems! This really is a great product!

Now the not so good part; you will smell like sulfur... If I can smell it, others can too. I prefer to go ahead and deal with it until it has served its purpose. Also, it might help to put msm lotion over the skin to hide the smell and let it continue with the sulfur activity. I use MSM soap and shampoo from "At Last Naturals" and "Ultra Aesthetics" and have exclusively for years.... I am picky about everything and so this lives up to my expectations.... All in all this bar says "Welcome to the power of sulfur!"

Great soap exfoliating and gets rid of any greasiness off your skin. Refreshing feeling after showering or bathing. Smell isn't up too much but 'by eck' it does the job nicely.

Kappus Soap, Sandalwood (4.2 oz)

Kappus Sandalwood soap is one of my all-time favorites. I've used it for years, particularly in the summer, when the fragrance and "clean" feeling I get is perfect! The scent is just right: not too heavy, not too light, and a little "exotic." I grew alarmed when the Kappus line seemed to be disappearing from local shops. I asked in one shop specializing in soap, where the clerk was willing to special-order for me. She also explained that yes, there WAS a distribution problem in the USA with the Kappus soaps. Although I accepted the clerk's offer and did place an order with her, when it was time to buy more bars of soap, I went on line and was happy with the service I found through Amazon. I sometimes wonder if I could survive summer without my Kappus Sandalwood soap! In cooler weather, I tend to use other more ordinary soaps. But I've tried many of the Kappus soaps -particularly the glycerine bars. I like them all and would use them more often if they were more readily available as they once were. The peach, apricot, and green apple are especially good. The non-glycerine Lavendar, Rose, and Lily-of-the-Valley are OK. All are quality products that have a good feel and that hold up well with use. Suggestion: Keep spare bars of the Sandalwood soap with clean towels or underwear and make the whole drawer or cabinet smell good!

Their soaps are creamy and long-lasting, and beautifully scented, and this one is no exception. It has a light, spicy, natural sandalwood scent that's Oriental and exotic, and not cloying. Natural Avocado Cucumber Soap

My wife and I are interested in soap and candle making, and on a whim I got some of this soap.

It really can't possibly be easier to make soap than by using this type of melt-and-pour. The first thing I'd say is that if you're curious in dabbling, this is an excellent choice.

For the quality of the soap itself, it's good. It sort of dries out my hands, but regular Dial hand soap does that too. It's definitely not what I'd call luxury soap, but I would definitely recommend it for someone starting out.

I am on my second bar so i guess it is time for a review. I was so excited about using this soap because i wanted something that was going to leave my skin moisturized. This soap gives you a squeaky clean feel but leaves the skin so dry. I also use on my face and the same thing. I purchased 6 bars so i have to finish them but i am not impressed at all with this soap. I purchased the moisturizer and i get it today, hope i am not dissapointed because everyone gave it rave reviews.

So glad to have found this soap on Amazon. Much better price than QVC.

I gave this product a higher rating than Kiss My Face olive oil soap because of the pleasant smell. Although this product is similar in makeup to Kiss My Face, this one contains glycerin which is well known as a moisturizer. If I had to choose between the two when they are available at a good price, I would choose this one.

I first heard about this product on QVC and found I could receive a much better deal from Amazon. The olive oil in the soap softens your skin and rinses off cleanly. In the past, I have had to use soap for sensitive skin...this soap is just as gentle. What I like the best is that it can be used on both the face and body with the same great results. I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a natural way to cleanse and soften your skin.

I'm a big fan of olive oil soap, especially for dry winter skin. This soap is the real thing, hardly any fragrance, and gentle on sensitive skin. Price is quite good for pure olive oil.

For the past several years my skin had become dry and itchy. I tried many different kinds and types of soaps and lotions until a friend of mine referred me to this soap. This soap is great!

When I found out that regular soaps were made out of animal's fat (read ewww), I decided to try this Olivella soap, which is all natural and made out just of olive oil..

I can tell you that my skin is much better now, and I'm hearing that this product has also anti-aging properties.. wowwww !!!!

Oh yeah one more thing.. these bars of soap last forever! They may be a little more expensive than regular soaps (I used to use Dove soap which was cheaper), but Olivella soap bars last like twice as much as Dove's.. so i guess in the end you end up paying the same amount of money, but for a better product!

good price and ok workmanship but it gets moldy very fast and is hard to get the mold off. It would hold up better if it had some kind of finish

These wooden soap dishes have a removable tray which makes them easier to wash. They do not match exactly but are different shades ranging from light to medium. There is either a light finish or no finish, so I covered the wood with a layer of mineral oil which slightly darkened the color and emphasized the wood grain. They are ample sized and can easily fit a large bar of soap.

11/19/11 EDIT: These became moldy after about a year so I reduced my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars.

The glue holding the wooden pieces came undone in the shower and all 3 fell apart within 1-2 days of use. Very disappointed and a waste of money.

This dish is a huge soap-saver. It dries out the bars of soap really good which makes them last a long time. It also keeps the soap from going into the sink, and keeps all of the messy soap gunk from building up on the soap & the countertop!

These soap dished don't look like much in the picture, but that's kind of what I was going for. I knew I wanted wood, super simple design, and I definitely wasn't going to pay an arm and a leg for a stupid soap dish. This pack of three is exactly what I wanted. The wood is unfinished, which is fine with me, and so they are a little rough/rustic looking, but I like that. They perform their function well. My soap dries well and lasts longer. The inner part lifts out which makes cleaning a breeze. I use a variety of different bar soaps, and they have all fit.

Some people have complained of the dishes mildewing, but I haven't had that problem and I've been using them for at least 8 months now. I haven't actually cleaned them per se, but do rinse them out once in a while if I notice some soap build up, and they look just fine. I use natural soaps, but I don't know if that would have anything to do with it.

These have also held up well. Yesterday, I did manage to break one well sort of. None of the wood pieces are broken. I was just prying on it too hard, and a couple of the small lateral pieces came off. Easy to glue back. And in all honesty, it held up to a lot of force before it gave way. For the price and how long it took for that to happen, I'm not complaining at all.

I like these a lot and would buy them again in a heart beat.
