This is my favorite Zum soap. It's got a nice scent, without being girly-perfumed. The embedded sea salt seems to do wonders for my dry skin, too. It's got a good feel.

South of France Milled Bar Soap, Lavender French, 8.8-Ounce (Pack of 3)
French-milled soap has wonderful fragrances, and the bars--which are big!-lather up so well and last a long time. The bars are so big that we sometimes cut them in half and share them with our small nephew, who loves them, too. Our favorite fragrances so far are mango, tea tree, sandalwood and, my daughter's favorite, lavendar. I'm so glad that we can find this brand on-line!
So nice to be able to purchase it through Amazon, as I use it all the time at home. I am
usually allergic to fragrances, but this soap's lavender scent is very mild and natural,
and I find it relaxing.

Scottish Fine Soaps Vintage Fragrances Soaps in a Tin Seaweed
I am SO not into overly priced soaps, especially hand ones but I bought this on a whim at a discount store checkout line. This is by far the best handsoap I have ever purchased. It has little pieces of fiber all throughout, not sure what they are but it sure is impressive in my guest bathroom. Everyone always comments on how great the soap smells. It really does remind you of the sea and the smell is natural and very fresh, not synthetic smelling. I want something like this for the body but haven't found it yet. The soap is a little drying, not moisturizing just in case someone was looking for that, but I love it so much I came on Amazon to find it so when I run out I can buy more. This soap also lasts for months and is only a tad bit smaller than the day I bought it. It reminds me of the everlasting gobstopper off of Willy Wonka. So at this price, it is definitely justified as it last, and lasts, and lasts, not like the pump soaps that you have to continuously replace. I also like that it comes in a little fancy tin so you don't have to worry about getting soap on the counter top or getting a dish for it. If I can, I will post a pic of the soap itself.

The package says Original, however this is not the original. The original did not include an orange scent or colour. It does have the Dettol scent but too small. I was going through the soap at record speed.Save 26% Off

Baby Bee Buttermilk Soap
For my first child I wanted a soap that contained less toxic chemicals than traditional baby soaps found everywhere. I settled on Burt's Bees Buttermilk Soap and Shampoo Bar. The shampoo bar was a phenomenal value as it lasted forever, but must have been discontinued as I have been unable to find it anywhere in over a year. I am expecting again and ordered three soap bars which appear to have shrunk in size from when I used them previously. It still smells great and has a toxicity level on the lower side according to the EWG cosmetic database Skin Deep, however it isn't as low as I previously thought. This led me to do some research finding a more affordable, less toxic alternative. No longer a fan.

this soap is wonderful. my baby is quite sensitive to soap even with dove unscented he gets little red dots but when we started using this on him the dots went away and he's squeaky clean. it smells so nice too, sweet and milky, just like a newborn baby. this soap is all natural. I used this soap on my newborn and it dryed up his skin. I don't know why 'cause it is a buttermilk soap. I even used it on my face and it did the same... So, not very happy about this soap.Save 12% Off
CST Boxed Bath Bar (Fruit)
I see these soaps from CST at TJ Maxx all the time and I read the ingredients..one of the first few ingredients listed is glycerin, hence they do not take all the glycerin out of the soap to sell for other commercial manufacturing. This means the soap is high quality and moisturizing, and rarely found anymore and you will not find glycerin listed as one of the main first few ingredients in grocery store soaps. The thing that attracted me to these soaps before I even read the label was the beautiful packaging and the absolutely heavenly scents. Now that I have found some reviews of these soaps I am going to buy these..they have tons of different scents and like the comment posted to the above review, you never know what the store will have so you can try all sorts of their various scents. I was so surprised to see that they don't have a large selection on Amazon. This is where I usually buy my french milled soaps and I am ecstatic about trying these by CST.

I barely touched it and there was enough moisturizing soap to smooth over my whole body. Today, I am still enjoying the way I smell and the way my bathroom smells! I would not buy it at the going rate here, but try TJMaxx. The box is absolutely beautiful...wonderful for gifts, if you can part with it!!!
J.R. Liggett's Jojoba & Peppermint Bar Shampoo
I'm African american and I've just transitioned from relaxed to natural hair. I have a 4a/4b texture. This shampoo bar leaves my hair very soft, but it feels clean. I was skeptical, because a lot of products tend to not work on my hair.I have a sensitive scalp and a lot of products leave me with an itchy scalp. It's true you don't need to use a conditioner afterwards, but I use one anyway, because my hair is very thick. I hope this review helps others.
I thought that the use of this shampoo bar would be a little bit odd, but it is actually very easy. It goes on easily just running the bar over your head and works into a decent lather (not as much as you would get with a traditional shampoo though). It gets through the hair easily and when you rinse it out, you will really notice how slick and clean your hair is.

I tried "no poo" for almost a year... yes, that's right, a whole year. No one can tell me I didn't stick it out long enough! I wanted to rave about it. For those individuals where the no poo method works they gush about how wonderful their hair looks and feels. Soft, shiny, no fly aways... just magnificent lovely hair. And to top it off: no weird or potentially toxic chemicals and *almost* as cheap as just plain water.What's not to love?
Answer: Dandruff. Blasted dandruff. I tried every different ratio of baking soda to water. And for an after rinse, tried multiple ratios of apple cider vinegar to water. But nothing worked. I got dandruff galore (never had dandruff before), my roots were really waxy feeling (waxy, not oily), and my ends were dry. It was an epic fail. I couldn't take the dandruff anymore, so I gave up and was back to my regular shampoo/conditioner again... but I was still having dandruff issues. EGADS! I started to think my no poo experiment gave me a permanent dandruff problem. Not good.
Then I stumbled upon JR Liggett's shampoo bar. I was intrigued and hopeful. Very simple ingredients, nothing weird or potentially toxic. It doesn't strip hair of its natural oils (which is also the main reason most people do "no poo"). I decided to try it.
Let's just say: AMAZEBALLS. It got rid of my dandruff completely, my hair is soft, shiny and clean. I can easily go 2 days between washing. What a HUGE timesaver to only have to wash/dry my hair 50% as often. With regular shampoo, washing daily was a must, or my scalp started to itch and get super oily. I've been using JR Liggett's for about a month and soon will see if I can extend to 3 days between washing as my scalp adjusts and normalizes its oil production.
You need a couple washings to get the hang of it. Part your hair and run in along your scalp in a downwards direction like a brush. Just a few strokes then massage with your fingertips and it will produce a suprising amount of lather (unlike BS no poo, which has no lather). Don't rub the bar back and forth or it will leave you tangle-y. Concentrate on your scalp area you don't really need to worry about your ends.
Your hair will feel SQUEAKY clean. It will not feel slick. That's a good thing, in my opinion. Commercial products often include ingredients to coat your hair and give you a slick feeling. That leads to build up after time.
The company says that many people do not need conditioner when this bar shampoo. But my water is moderately hard, so I need something after washing. Instead of commercial conditioner I use 3:1 ratio of water:apple cider vinegar and it's perfect. My hair is not tangled and I can brush it really easily. My hair also dries really quickly. Another signal to me that my hair is healthy and the cuticles are closed.
Highly recommend this product. Here's what the JR website claims, and I have to say that it's all true in my experience (except I don't have permed or colored hair, so I don't know about that claim)

None of them clarify and volumize my baby-fine, easily broken hair like Ligget's--and it's less expensive than them all! About to buy my third bar. I can't say enough good things about this shampoo bar. I recently tried the no shampoo movement (washing hair with baking soda/water and conditioning with apple cider vinegar/water). I was a month in and my hair was getting unbearably greasy, so I tried this shampoo bar because it claimed that it did not strip the natural oils from your hair. I have been using this bar and then still conditioning with the vinegar/water. I love it and it is good for my hair too! No more grease, my hair is soft, and the smell is wonderful! It is also very convenient to travel with. No downsides in my book!

Dove Cool Moisture Soap with Cucumber and Green Tea(2-4.25 Oz Bars) is an okay bar soap but it seems to be hard to lather up. It could be my water hardness, but I must really work to get enough soap on my wash towel to get lathered up sufficiently. Aside from the lather issue, this soap has an appealing fragrance but it's not overly bold. It leaves your skin feeling soft and clean.Please rate this review if you found it helpful.

This soap just left my face a little too tight after use and I felt drier than normal all day. I have combination skin and it was especially harsh on the dry spots.I'm going to try using this as a body soap. I think it would actually work well (on the body) for those with drier skin or during winter.

UPDATE 2: GREAT STUFF> It's been over a month and now my face is in love. Smooth, clean skin without the drying effects I first noticed. I have not had any flakiness in my tzone like I did prior to this product. The film I noticed previously was the excess oil my skin had been producing. It took a little bit for it to disappear. Mostly after a little exfoliation and continued use of this bar. What really gets this bar working is storing it in a travel soap holder. Doing so releases the natural oils to the surface of the bar. Don't be confused by the word oils either. This product does not leave a greasy feel and it fact, does quite the opposite.UPDATE 1 week later: still not worth it. Leaves a film. Not quite sure who would benefit from this kind of bar.
