This shea butter soap has a pleasant scent of shea butter and almost puts me in the mind of cashmere. I must say that this soap did wonders for me. I have very sensitive skin and I have been using an Aveeno cleansing product for sensitive skin and it still sent my cheeks to a bright red. But honestly one wash from this and no flames. I know it sounds silly but I couldn't contain my excitement.Also the smell is really strong, I liked it but some obviously won't. Also it made my skin very soft. Not silky soft but more of a baby skin soft.

I love this soap. It gives the best lather you could ever want! Guests have stayed at my house and asked what kind of soap we have. I have not had any problems with film on my shower/bath walls or on my skin. It is so great for washing my kids b/c it suds up so well in the washcloth and makes bathtime easier!! Just bought a pack at Costco, new packaging looks very much like Dove multi-packs, very attractive compared to old drab packaging, claim on box that says that it is 1/4 oil/cream just like Dove. The bars are individually wrapped and the scent is pleasant, but my biggest complaint is the film left behind on my shower walls, tub and skin. Dove leaves my skin (and shower walls) clean and smooth feeling. After just one shower with the Kirkland soap I noticed a dull coating on my tub and shower walls, the familiar "soap scum" for which I buy special removers to get rid of! Also, my skin didn't have the smooth feeling that Dove gives me. I normally don't write Amazon reviews, but seeing this soap I've bought for years so denigrated by reviewers here, I had to hop on and say a few words.First of all, no, it's not like Dove. For me, this is a good thing, since I don't like it anyway. It has a mild, pleasant clean scent. I would not want more as I don't want to get my perfume from my soap. It's a bit drying so I don't use it on my face as a rule, but as an all-around household/bath soap, it's great.
Don't get me wrong, if I had the money, I'd always stock Caswell-Massey, as their soaps are heavenly. But Kirkland's is a good soap, and for less than a dollar a bar, I'm happy to keep using it.

I am a soapmaker and I purchase soaps to see what they are like compared to mine. When they claimed that the PH was close to your own skin I found it hard to believe. I purchased the soap and tried it. It is a very nice bubbly, moisturizing and nicely scented soap. PH? Like most handmade soaps the PH is a 9. Your skins PH is anywhere between a 4.5 and 6. So, It is very hard to get a soaps PH close to your skin. Commercial soaps Ph is much higher, so handmade soap is what you want. This is the loveliest soap bar none! Zum Bar is a pure, natural goats milk soap, handmade to perfection. I was very disappointed with this soap. I bought it for the scent which is described as "hints of pumpkin, cinnamon and spice" in fact it has no scent that I can detect at all. When I received it I smelled the box nothing. Opened the box and smelled the soap nothing. I took a shower with it no scent at all. As a soap it's acceptable but do not expect the scents that are claimed. Definitely not worth it considering the cost.

I quit using liquid hand soaps because they all have awful 'anti-bacterial' ingredients which are contributing to the evolution and existence of new strains of super bacteria that are hard to kill. I've looked and looked for Ivory liquid hand soap in Target, Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, etc. and CANNOT FIND IT ANYMORE!
Somebody please tell these stores to start carrying it again.

We only use this soap in all of our bathrooms and in the kitchen. It's a great hand soap which is what we use it for although I have occasionally used it on my face too. It's fragrance free as far as I can tell and very mild but cleans well. Also the price is great, much cheaper than hand washes I have seen at the store. And I have not been able to find this anywhere but Amazon so I'm happy I can get it here. This is my second set and I plan to keep purchasing them. I read about this soap mostly on the internet from a few users who seem to have had excellent results with it. I am an ezcema sufferer so I was looking for a soap that could be used as a general facial and body soap,and also one which could take care of my ezcema when it "flaired" it. I purchased this soap quite recently,and now I am a true believer. Granpa's Pine Tar Soap has a very strong pine smell, but when you get past the smell it's really great! It lathers on white and leaves your skin feeling and smelling clean all day. I used to use Dove unscented, but the results were not as outstanding as with Grandpa's pine tar soap. I've even started shampooing my hair with it and it does leave my hair and scalp soft and "squeeky" clean. I know I will continue to use this soap as my ezcema has not broken out for awhile; the soap seems to keep it under control. I am true believer in Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap for life.

I love this campfire smelling soap. Be advised it does have a strong pine, smokey odor but it does not have that lingering smell after you use it. This soap does not have a strong pine scent so it is very usable. Have been using pine tar soap for some time now and really enjoy it and it has helped the healing process of the numerous scrapes and cuts that I get working in the yard and garden.

I have used Claus Porto hard milled soaps for years and have never found another to compare. I have very sensitive skin and had a difficult time finding anything that would not cause me to become itchy and my skin to become very dry. Then I heard Oprah say this was one of her favorite things. I figured it would not hurt to try it. The cost seems a bit over the top for my budget but I ordered it anyway. Not only did it work it also was cost effective as it lasts forever, right down to a sliver that still lathers and smells wonderful.
