Grandpa's knows what patchouli is supposed to smell like. This is a gift for someone so I have not used it, however the wonderful scent is obvious when you open the delivery box. Absolutely fabulous!
Crusander Mediacted Safety Soap (PACKAGE SEALED!!!!)
I've been fighting blemishes and pimples for years (25 yrs since I was 13yrs old; do the math :) ). I've tried proactiv and other acne medicines but I only have a few pimples and blackheads (under 10 at a time) so they just dried out my skin and caused irritation.Crusader is cheap and effective. It keeps new pimples from forming if I use it regularly so the my skin has time to heal. It is not over drying for my skin. I've been using it for over a month and so far so good. I do follow it up with a toner, moisturizer, and purification serum and I don't go cheap on those. I used another cleaners (expensive) before with the toner etc and well it was NOT effective at all. I went from around 10 pimples to about 2-3 at a time. I touch my face too much and not always use the soap twice a day.
From my understanding it has two antibacterial elements that kills the bacteria that clogs pores. It also cleans the excess oils too. It works for me so I am happy with the product.
Okay it STINKS to holy hell. So I keep it in a plastic baggie under the sink when I am not using it. I could smell it for miles if I didn't "hide" it in between uses.
Oh I do follow the directions and I wash my face then leave it on while I brush my teeth for 2-3 minutes:

My girlfiend and I have been using this soap for a year by a recommendation from another. Both of us had adult acme problems and we are 40 years old. After using it for two weeks our skin started to clear up. Now we occasionaly only get few pimples here and there. We've spent hundreds of dollars on other products and they don't work. Its amazing a 3 dollar soap bar works so well. just came in from foolishly walking in some calf high grass and my legs were irritated. Lathered up and let it dry. Within minutes my legs felt much cooler and the light rash had disappeared.This soap really gets you "squeaky" clean and the scent is nostalgically refreshing. There must have been something like this around the house when I was growing up.
Inexpensive compared to itch cremes especially when you can cover more area. Handy product to have around.

This product is great, and we really enjoyed it back when it was 17.00/six pack. Unfortunately, at 25.00/six pack we will have to switch brands. I've been switching all our cosmetics and cleaning supplies over to phthalate free, paraben free, unidentified fragrance free options. Not only is this a complicated process it is an expensive one too. After quite a bit of research and comparing soaps at the health food store I finally settled on Dr Bonner's soaps as being the most trustworthy and the safest for my family. Things I love about this bar soap :Ingredients: Organic coconut oil, Organic palm oil, sodium Hydroxide (none remains after saponifying oils into soap and glycerin), Water, Organic Olive oil, Organic Hemp oil, Organic Jojoba oil, Natural Almond fragrance, Salt, Citric Acid and tocepherol. I've tried the Almond and the Rose soaps so far. I very much prefer the Almond since the rose was a bit more astringent. I find that this soap is not at all drying to the skin and gentle enough to use on the face.
While the price may seem steep I have not found it cheaper anywhere else and this bar soap lasts about 3 times as long as our bars of Dove used to.
The price I am referring to is $22 for a pack of 6 (with free shipping over orders of $25) at the time of this review. If that has changed it may not be so good a deal any more. . . . There are many independent sellers who sell at higher prices on the Amazon website so this does make things even more complicated!I have been using these bars for about 6 months and I LOVE them! I even got my mom hooked on them! A small amount suds up your entire body, and the bars seriously last forever. At the rate I'm at, I probably use 3-4 the entire year! The scent is light and not at all overpowering, and it cleans just as well as any other soap bar, if not better.
I don't use the bar on my face because it would probably dry out my sensitive face skin, but I used this bar everywhere else, even on my fresh tattoo because it contains nothing that would irritate a tattoo and I knew that no harsh chemicals were being absorbed by my body. It also feels good knowing you are supporting an all-organic company that actually cares about its consumers and its workers, unlike other store-bought soaps that put dangerous chemicals in their products because they only want your money.
I would recommend these soap bars to everyone, and I will probably never use anything else besides Dr. Bronner's!Love the almond scent. Not nearly as strong as the blue label Bronner's soap. High quality soap with great lather.

Not a very good cocoa butter base. Soap base should lather at least a bit and this did not lather at all. Disappointed. No cocoa butter smell either. Just all together not pleased with it.

I bought a bar of this soap while traveling abroad. When I first used it, I literally thought "luxury." I couldn't believe a bath bar could make your shower feel luxurious, but it did. The soap is very creamy and has such a nice smell and it does rinse off well. I was very glad I could buy these on Amazon, so now, it will be in my shower year round and it will make a perfect small gift for friends, family, teachers, etc. I mean who can't use an extra bar of soap????

Dr.Woods Products Almond Castile Soap
This is one of my very favorite cleaning products. I love it because 1) the ingredients are all healthy and natural, 2) it smells AMAZING like the greatest almondy cherry-ish smell, 3) it is SO versatile (hair, body wash, bubble bath (short-lived bubbles, but good for the kids bodies and no harmful chemicals), house cleaner, laundry detergent does it all naturally!) and 4) it is so much LESS expensive than Dr Bronners. Just remember good natural soap doesn't usually "bubble" like mainstream brands, as its usually unnatural chemicals that make that unnatural process happen.

When you first open this bottle, you may find yourself very happy then suddenly sad when you remember it's for your skin and not for your tongue. Other than that, this robust scent is very unique and satisfying among other soaps. Like the other Woods soaps, the consistency is just right and is very manageable. For the price and in general, you will be hard-pressed to find anything better in terms of quality. If the scent isn't your cup of tea, you can use it to clean your floors, counter-tops, etc but remember to try out the other ones. Dispensers also work well with this. I've been experimenting with various homemade cleaning product recipes and liquid castile soap seems to be a staple. I like the famous Dr. Bronner's stuff, but wasn't feeling up to paying for it. Dr. Woods, however, seems to provide as respectable a soap as one could ask for. While any real faults in any of my experiments are probably due to the recipe itself, this ingredient has reacted as expected and I got to say I've had some great results. When using this soap on its own, I've been impressed as well. The almond aroma is not overwhelming, but clean and natural. I've seen some reviews complaining this doesn't sud well, but I have no complaints there. It rinses completely as well with no surface residue. I love this soap, I had the peppermint and tea tree and I love them, so I wanted to try the almond. Nice mild scent, great for showering and the face. I like it because there are no sulfates. It is also moisturizing, for my skin anyway. I have dry skin also. And, while it does not suds a whole lot, it does enough for me. It is just not a real sudsy soap. But that doesn't mean it is not cleaning.

I got this soap on a rope for my elderly Mother. If she dropped the soap in the shower she didn't have to bend over to pick it up and risk a fall. It works perfectly and will certainly order more. The soap is very moist and long lasting. Smells great too!

I know smell is relative, but I really can't emphasize how nicely this soap smells. It has a natural scent that reminds me of Bay Rum with an earthy, vanilla and spice notes. The warm inviting smell is a refreshing change from modern citrus and or musk based scents, it lingers for some time but isn't overpowering. It felt a little harsh after the first few uses, but after my skin adapted, I'm happy with the moisture level now. The lather is rich, and you can shave with the soap, but I would rather use the Proraso cream made for that task (the red/sandalwood scent matches well). I'm Caucasian with short coarse hair, and I have trouble differentiating between good and bad shampoos so I can't really attest to that usage. The price can be high here, so be sure to shop around at your local drug stores.
