This is a fabulous product! As someone who frequently turns her nose up at perfumed soaps, I was shocked to fall so in love with this one! Not only is the scent exotic (and, dare I say, a little erotic?), but the soap itself leaves my skin feeling squeaky-clean and silky-smooth. I was heartbroken to discover that Caress has stopped manufacturing this product, so I am stocking up on the bars while I still can. I am, however, utterly delighted to know that Black Phoenix Alchemy Labs makes a perfume that smells a lot like this, called Morocco. So, when my body wash and bar soaps run out, I will still have the scent from the BPAL perfume.

I am African American and also use black soap to wash my hair and the shea mixed with oils to moisturize. I use products from head to toe and I'm very pleased. Also shea keeps my six year son moisturize which is excellent his skin tends to be very dry. I will buy again. Packaging is messy. Shea is in two plastic bags...hard to get product out.

Sometimes the pump head won't come up on its own. This doesn't bother me. This normally doesn't happen if I dilute. In fact, most of the problems people have with bronner's go away with dilution, namely the gloppy feeling in the hair, leaving a film on everything, clogging up soap dispensers, the peppermint burn..
Lavender tastes better than peppermint.

I am chemically sensitive and use this to make up dishwashing soap. I use 1/3 to 1/4 parts Dr. Bronner's to the rest water in an empty soap bottle and just use as you would any store bought soap liquid. I like this soap, but not because of the brand name. I have used liquid Castile soap "off and on" for many years, and have used different brands, including Dr. Bonner's. I purchased this particular size thinking it was larger than it really is. I looked at the container and not the size (remember, a gallon is 128 oz, this container holds a half gallon). My experience with liquid Castile soap is that it definitely cleans the body better than bar soaps.The store that I usually purchase Castile soap from went out of business, so of course I turned to my favorite alternative source, Amazon online. I looked at different brands offered on the site and read a lot of reviews. I found out that you actually use the soap to wash your hair; that was a surprise. I use this soap as a body wash, a face soap, and to shampoo my hair, and I think it does an excellent job for each. But I must warn you that ladies may want to use a milder soap for sensitive parts of skin.
Bottom line, this is a good soap, but in my opinion, it is no better than some of the other Castile soaps, such as Dr. Woods, which is just as good, but cheaper in price.

I bought Palmer's fade cream and received a bar of soap as a free extra. It's great! My skin became more even and blemishes went away. It is very gentle and I wear contacts. After washing my face I can put my contacts right in and there's no burning. When I use to use other facial cleaners, residue would be left on my fingers even after repeated rinsing or if I put the contacts in and then washed my face I would sometimes get burning with my eyes. I'm so pleased I'm getting another bar for my whole body.
I used to purchase it from a local beauty supply store but it has been increasingly harder to come by so this is my first time buying it online. I highly recommend this soap. It leaves my skin soft and not dry. It keeps it clear from pimples without overdrying. And I can use it year round ( I live in New Jersey and sometimes products are either too drying in winter or too oily in summer). Buy it!!!!!!!! You wont regret it.

After using this product, I do see a difference in my breakouts and in my acne scars on my face. It does seem to dry out your skin, but I use a moisturizer on my skin after use. My face seems to be less red than it was before also.

Shea Butter helps keep you moisturized without harsh chemicals. & times milled and this large bar at 12.3 oz lasts on average 4 months with 2 people using it daily. The soap lathers beautifully and can be used with a nylon mesh sponge to lather as you would liquid shower gels. It lathers right down to the last sliver of soap.
This soap is very large in size and comes in a very decorative waxed paper box. In fact, my wife decorates our bathroom with these soaps.
This soap has a very clean smell. It reminded me of sweet tart candies with a slight flowery sweet aroma. This is more of a feminine smell than unisex.

You can't beat the products from Nubian Heritage. This soap leaves you smelling good and your skin moisturized. I was very satisfied with my purchase.
I am a frequent-hand-washer and the second bar is still untouched in its box! Since it is made with Raw Shea Butter, I was hoping it would be more moisturising since I do wash my hands often however, they still pretty much feel just as dry after washing with this soap. ...at least, it doesn't dry them out even more unlike many others!
The initial fragrance is really lovely and light, BUT the delightful scent just does not last at all. It pretty well vanishes as soon as my hands are dried. Bummer!
As with many soaps, I have found it does seem to leave a fair amount of soap residue in the dish, so I wash it/wipe it out frequently.
I will probably shop around for other soaps first before I consider repurchasing this one.

Michel Design Works Beach Foaming Soap, 17.8-Ounce
This hand soap would be a constant in our bathroom if not for the high retail price. The delicate, fresh and "beachy" fragrance is so delicious that I wish it came in a much larger size to last longer. The foam is light and lathers up wonderfully. The pump does not jam or stick, it can be turned to a side position to prevent spillage and the overall design of the rectangular bottle and attractive ocean scene on the label make for a lovely addition to your vanity. I first found this item on sale in a local book store in the summer months. Had I known they would only stock it seasonaly I would have hoarded my supply more carefully! I am very happy to have found it here on Amazon but I do hope the price eventually drops a bit so I can afford to keep more on hand and would love to see a larger sized bottle in the future. This scent is also sold in a creme bar version for slightly less money, but I prefer foam soap to bar.

Since learning about Dr. Bronner's soap in 1983, I've gradually eliminated every other cleaning product from our home. It's the most economical, safe, great smelling (we prefer the eucalyptus) product ever invented. We use it to clean EVERYTHING. Kitchen, bathroom, floors. I use it in my HE front loading washer. One 32 oz. bottle lasts for months because it is so concentrated and a tiny, tiny bit goes such a long way. Our house always smells so good. I even started washing the dogs with it (BE SURE TO DILUTE!!!!!!!) Back in 1983 when we were white water raft guides is how I learned about it, the national park where we took some canoe trips only allowed Dr. Bronners to be used to wash with in the lake as it so pure and causes no damage. Totally safe around babies. We save a fortune now in cleaning products and laundry soap and dish soap that is no longer needed. If you are looking to save money for your family and have a healthy home, this is the way to go. There are articles in the thousands you can find online to read about Dr. Bronners soap. At first you will want to think you need to use more than you need but you really only need the smallest amount. I only use one teaspoon diluted in about 1/2 cup of warm water to wash a fully packed largest load my huge washer will hold. Same for cleaning the kitchen and bathroom, just one teaspoon diluted in a small bucket of hot water cleans the whole room. No more toxic cleaner smells in our house!!!!
Doc Bronner's really is magical stuff. It also lasts forever because it's concentrated and you can cut it with water (or glycerine) to stretch it and make it last. It's good stuff. And smells purty!
